Recoveries Officer – Write Off
Bank of Africa Kenya has an exciting opportunity in our Recoveries Department.
Job Purpose; The role is responsible for the management of written off accounts by repairing and offering cures with the aim of writing back and making income for the bank.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities;
- Management of the written off book to get collections and write backs with a total weight of 70% by:
- Daily engagements through calls, texts emails and client visits to regularize accounts and offer cures.
- Minuting all meetings held and actioning on the same.
- Liaising with branches and service providers when following up on defaulters
- Attending court as bank witness to ensure the bank gets favorable judgements and recover debts.
- Pursuing execution of decrees given at court rulings so as to push the defaulters to pay
- Ensure customer satisfaction by;(5%)
- Resolution of complaints and proposals from clients and business with agreed TAT
- Follow up on laid down procedures when dealing with clients and stakeholders while representing the Bank.
- Training, Culture and values;(5%)
- Training on any related field required on the job
- Ensure to meet required Training Hours & Pass mark of 80%
- Adherence to documented Recovery Processes and Procedures -10%
- Ensuring the physical and digital files are updated on a daily basis
- Following laid down procedures and processes as we pursue debts
- Adherence to SLA’s – Client (48 hrs.) and Legal requests-24 hrs-10%
- Ensuring all customer correspondences are attended to withing 48hrs
- Ensuring all correspondences from the legal officers are responded to within 24 hours
Minimum Requirements; Academic and Professional qualifications;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 3 yrs. banking experience especially in credit, recoveries/PQM with a good understanding credit policies and procedures
- Good understanding of CBK prudential guidelines, banking Act, IFRS and other relevant statutes in banking
